OLA Verde, in collaboration with the Latin American Health Corporation, has submitted an innovative proposal to the Bellagio Center Convening Program. The project, titled “From Dialogue to Action: Building Strategies for Climate and Health Data in Latin America”, aims to address the lack of accurate information regarding the public health impacts of climate change in the region.
The objective of the proposed convening is to develop an Integrated Climate and Health Monitoring System at the subregional level, which will provide real-time climate and health data through a digital platform and analytical tools. This initiative is designed to benefit public health professionals, policymakers, vulnerable communities, and conservation organizations by enhancing their capacity to manage climate and health risks.
The participation of OLA Verde and the Latin American Health Corporation reaffirms their commitment to sustainability and public well-being in Latin America, leveraging their expertise and strategic alliances to address the interconnected challenges of climate and health in the region.
