OLA Verde is a regional NGO dedicated to accelerating climate action in Latin America and the Caribbean through a bottom-up approach that prioritizes community engagement and applied science. We work closely with subnational governments, universities, social organizations, and the private sector to design and implement effective and sustainable environmental policies and projects.

Our expertise spans climate change, biodiversity, circular economy, and environmental restoration. Through flagship initiatives like “Saving Lake San Pablo,” we promote scalable models that integrate innovation, education, and sustainable economic development, contributing to resilient communities and a healthy planet.

Values

  • Community Participation: We believe real change originates from the ground up, actively involving communities at every stage of our projects.
  • Science and Evidence: Our actions are based on robust data and methodologies to ensure effective, context-specific solutions.
  • Collaboration: We foster strategic partnerships and joint work with diverse stakeholders to maximize the impact of our interventions.
  • Holistic Sustainability: We seek a balance between social, economic, and environmental development to ensure lasting benefits.
  • Transparency: We maintain clear and open communication with our partners, allies, and communities, promoting accountability.
